The Company History
Company founder Jim Shea Sr. worked in manufactured housing and this knowledge helped him with starting an RV business. His sons worked alongside him, giving them valuable insight as well.
In 1983, the Shea's launched Gulf Stream Coach. The company's first RV, the Foxfire travel trailer, was built using some techniques from their housing company. This resulted in cutting-edge design that hadn't before appeared in travel trailers.
It didn't take long for Gulf Stream Coach to create a variety of travel trailers, fifth wheels, and motorhomes and for these RVs to become quite popular!
